Khatmah for Android — Privacy Policy

Quran reading and local information
Khatmah does not require an account. Quran text is bundled for offline reading. Your reading plans, progress, bookmarks, language and display settings, reminder settings, and private-circle titles, intentions, participant names and progress are stored on your device. We do not send these reading or private-circle records to Google or a developer-operated server. We do not use them as advertising keywords or targeting information.
You may deliberately share a private-circle summary using Android's share sheet. You choose the destination, and that service's privacy policy then applies. The developer does not receive a copy through Khatmah.
Advertising on Android
The Today page may display one small Google-served banner. The Quran reader has no ads, and Khatmah does not display full-screen, app-open, interstitial or rewarded-video ads. Reading remains available without an internet connection and does not depend on accepting personalized advertising.
Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform support ad delivery and consent choices. The app requests non-personalized ads. This does not mean that the advertising service processes no data. Google may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, advertising and other device/account identifiers, interactions such as app launches or ad taps, and performance or diagnostic information. Google uses advertising data for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Google states that its SDK sends this data using encryption in transit. Consent information is checked before the advertising SDK is initialized. Required consent forms are shown on Today. Ads stay unavailable if that process cannot establish permission to request them; Quran reading continues. Khatmah does not request your precise location or access to contacts, camera or microphone for advertising.
Your choices
Open Settings → Ad privacy choices or the same option on the Privacy screen to review Google's privacy choices when available in your region. Android's system settings also let you manage your advertising identifier. Declining personalized advertising does not remove any reading feature.
Use Settings → Erase local app data to remove the app's local reading plan, bookmarks, circles and preferences. Removing the app also removes its local app data. This Android release disables app-data backup. The developer has no server copy of these reading records. Google's advertising and consent records are governed by Google's policies and controls; resetting Khatmah's reading data does not delete records held by Google.
Optional reading reminders are local notifications, requested only after you enable them. The app does not register for remote push notifications. External source, support and privacy links open only when selected and are governed by the destination's policy.
